Georgia Southern Performing Arts Center Announces 2013-2014 Season

The 秋葵视频 Performing Arts Center has announced the 2013-2014 season, including tributes to Johnny Cash and Patti Page, hit Broadway performances, the Moscow Festival Ballet and more.

鈥淲e are excited about the wide range of talents and performances this season will bring to the Georgia Southern campus and Statesboro community,鈥 said Performing Arts Center Director Carol Thompson. 鈥淔rom Broadway stars to nostalgic tributes, this series of eclectic performances is sure to entertain audiences of all ages.鈥

The season kicks off at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 26 with 鈥淏roadway Boys,鈥 six of the hottest male voices currently working on the New York stage. Other season performances include the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble on Oct. 17, Sandy Hackett鈥檚 Rat Pack Show on Nov. 1, and 鈥淩ing of Fire: the Music of Johnny Cash,鈥 on Nov. 21.

The season will continue in January 2014 with 鈥淔lipside: The Patti Page Story,鈥 on Jan. 14, a comedy about Groucho Marx on Feb. 1 and the Moscow Festival Ballet performing 聽鈥淐inderella鈥 on Feb. 21. 聽Audiences can enjoy a tribute to Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli in 鈥淟iza & Judy: Together Again!鈥 on March 6. The season comes to a close on April 11 with 鈥淗ot on Broadway,鈥 featuring Tony Award winning cast members performing the songs and dances of today鈥檚 Broadway hits.

Previous season subscription holders can renew their subscription for the 2013-2014 season from Aug. 5-21. New season subscriptions may be purchased from Aug. 26 to Sept. 26. Tickets for individual performances go on sale to the general public on Sept. 12. To purchase tickets, contact the Performing Arts Center鈥檚 Box Office at 912-478-7999 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets are also available one hour prior to curtain on the show date.
