Alumni Association Names the Inaugural 鈥�40 Under 40鈥� Class of 2014
The 秋葵视频 Alumni Association has named the inaugural 鈥�40 Under 40鈥� .
Designated by the 秋葵视频 Alumni Association, the honor recognizes young alumni that are leading the way in business, leadership, community, educational and philanthropic endeavors.
鈥淕eorgia Southern has some outstanding graduates and our young alumni are no exception,鈥� said Wendell Tompkins, senior director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. 鈥淲e are excited to recognize the 鈥�40 Under 40′ group for not only their leadership in their personal and professional lives, but for their True Blue spirit. This group represents the very best of Georgia Southern alumni.鈥�
Chosen by a selection committee based on their professional expertise and achievements, as well as dedication to charitable and community initiatives, 鈥�40 Under 40鈥� honorees represent the excellence of the University’s young alumni, and demonstrate the positive contributions and remarkable achievements for which Georgia Southern graduates are known.
The 鈥�40 Under 40鈥� Class of 2014 will be featured in the fall edition of Georgia Southern magazine and on the Alumni Association website, in addition the following recognition:
- Thursday, Sept. 25 鈥� Honorees will be publicly announced over the loud speaker during the
- Georgia Southern vs. Appalachian State football game at Allen E. Paulson Stadium.
- Friday, Sept. 26 鈥� A special awards luncheon with President Brooks Keel will be held at Noon in the Nessmith-Lane Conference Center Ballroom.
- Friday, Sept. 26 鈥� Honorees will be special guests at the 1906 Society Gala, an annual invitation-only event hosted by Donor Relations.
