Student directed black box show ‘Bright Ideas’ comes to Armstrong Campus

秋葵视频 Armstrong Campus鈥 student-run theatre group, The Masquers, are bringing dark comedy 鈥淏right Ideas鈥 to the Armstrong Campus for its final black box show of the season. The show will run from Thursday, Feb. 21 to Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. at the Black Box Theatre in Jenkins Hall. 鈥淚鈥檝e always had fun doing lighting for a show or building sets, but directing is an entirely different beast,鈥 said Elijah Sanford, senior theatre major and first-time director. 鈥淭here are several bits in the show that are great to me, and I can’t wait to see a crowd react to it.鈥 鈥淏right Ideas,鈥 written by Eric Coble, follows the story of Joshua and Genevra Bradley鈥檚 three-year-old son, Mac. He is next on the waiting list to get into the highly prestigious Bright Ideas Early Childhood Development Academy. Josh and Gen have had to scramble all their lives to get this far and are now one fatal dinner party away from the ultimate success as parents 鈥 choosing the right preschool. General admission is $12 and discounts are available for military, seniors, and children. Georgia Southern Students, Faculty and Staff may attend for free.
