Diverse exhibit to showcase Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus seniors鈥 art

Soft sculptures, ceramics, fiber design, multimedia installation and photography will be on display for 鈥淭he Art of Feeling,鈥 presented by the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art on the 秋葵视频 Armstrong Campus. The exhibit will showcase the terminal work of five graduating art students: Jacqueline Claros, Brione Daniels, Chance Everett, Christine Freeman and Blair Perry.

秋葵视频鈥檚 School of Nursing will host pioneer in mental health policy and advocacy, former U.S. Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy, to discuss 鈥淢y Journey: Making Mental Health Essential Health鈥 on April 1. Kennedy鈥檚 presentation is free and open to the public and will take place on the University鈥檚 Armstrong Campus in the Fine Arts Building Auditorium at 7 p.m.

The Masquers bring trailer park musical to Armstrong Campus with upcoming performance

Student theater group, the Masquers are bringing the home of Stark, Florida, residents, Armadillo Acres, to the 秋葵视频 Armstrong Campus during a performance of 鈥淭he Great American Trailer Park Musical.鈥

Georgia Southern welcomes retired Army Major General David Rubenstein to speak at Healthcare Symposium

There will be an emphasis on leadership at the 2019 Healthcare Symposium. Retired Army Major General and former Deputy Surgeon General David Rubenstein will be the event鈥檚 speaker, which is hosted by the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health (JPHCOPH) at 秋葵视频. The symposium will be April 10 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in room 2071 of the Arts Building on the Statesboro Campus.

Georgia Southern master鈥檚 student creates thesis exhibition by rolling the dice

Turning fantasy into reality, 秋葵视频 art student Zak Kelley used Dungeons and Dragons to help shape his MFA thesis exhibition titled 鈥淣eo_Fluxus and Dragons.鈥 His work will be on display from March 28 to April 1 at the Center for Art and Theatre鈥檚 University Gallery on the Statesboro Campus, with a reception to be held on March 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Naming celebration for Georgia Southern鈥檚 Parker College of Business recognizes growth of business programs

In recognition of the new partnership between 秋葵视频 and entrepreneur and philanthropist Greg Parker, the University hosted a naming celebration Friday for the newly named Parker College of Business. Community members and business leaders joined University students and officials to formally usher in a new chapter of academic excellence and student opportunities in the University鈥檚 growing business programs.

Sweetin鈥檚 presentation, 鈥淭he Road to Recovery,鈥 is free and open to the public and will take place on the University鈥檚 Armstrong Campus in the Fine Arts Building Auditorium at 7 p.m.

Georgia Southern music alumnus returns to Statesboro Campus for performance of 鈥楲egally Blonde, the Musical鈥

Award-winning trombonist and 秋葵视频 alumnus Eric Spencer will be back on campus March 4 as a member of the orchestra during a performance of 鈥淟egally Blonde, the Musical.鈥 The show will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center on the Statesboro Campus.

Savannah Wind Symphony presents 41st annual spring concert on Armstrong Campus

The Savannah Wind Symphony will hold its annual spring concert on the Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus in Savannah on Tuesday, March 5. The 41st spring concert will feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Kenneth Hesketh, Julie Giroux and Rossano Galante.

Classical and jazz pianist virtuosos join for Piano in the Arts concert on Georgia Southern鈥檚 Armstrong Campus

Renowned classical pianist Benjamin Warsaw, DMA, assistant professor of music on Georgia Southern’s Armstrong Campus, and jazz pianist virtuoso, Joe Alterman, will join for a mixed-genre Piano in the Arts concert series performance, 鈥淐rossroads, Jazz Meets Classical.鈥 The event will be held on March 3 at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah.
