Georgia Southern psychology graduate aims to impact children’s lives

Meagan Bailie didn’t really like working with children when she started school in the Department of Psychology on the Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus. However, after starting her practicum at the Matthew Reardon Early Learning Academy in Savannah, and securing a job there after graduation, she can’t wait to help students get ready for K-12 education.

When a team of Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ leaders traveled to Ireland last week to officially open its learning center in Wexford, the ceremonial event proved to be so significant it attracted the Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland and led to a meeting with Ireland’s president – the first official meeting between a Georgia Southern president and a foreign head of state.

Georgia Southern celebrates community with A Day for Statesboro on Nov. 1

On Nov. 1, Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ will once again host A Day for Statesboro to celebrate the relationship between Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ and the Statesboro-Bulloch County community.
A Day for Statesboro is hosted by Georgia Southern in partnership with the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority (DSDA) and allows the University to show its love for the community with live music, True Blue spirit, family activities and more. The festivities will kick off in downtown Statesboro at 5:30 p.m.
