Georgia Southern welcomes retired Army Major General David Rubenstein to speak at Healthcare Symposium
There will be an emphasis on leadership at the 2019 Healthcare Symposium. Retired Army Major General and former Deputy Surgeon General David Rubenstein will be the event鈥檚 speaker, which is hosted by the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health (JPHCOPH) at 秋葵视频. The symposium will be April 10 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in room 2071 of the Arts Building on the Statesboro Campus.

On the 24th anniversary of its founding, 秋葵视频鈥檚 Center for Irish Research and Teaching (CIRT) is moving in new directions locally and abroad to provide unparalleled opportunities for students. The University announced Monday the center is relocating from the University鈥檚 Statesboro Campus to the Armstrong Campus in Savannah and will be bolstered by a new learning center being established on the southeast coast of Ireland.
Georgia Southern master鈥檚 student creates thesis exhibition by rolling the dice
Turning fantasy into reality, 秋葵视频 art student Zak Kelley used Dungeons and Dragons to help shape his MFA thesis exhibition titled 鈥淣eo_Fluxus and Dragons.鈥 His work will be on display from March 28 to April 1 at the Center for Art and Theatre鈥檚 University Gallery on the Statesboro Campus, with a reception to be held on March 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Georgia Southern graduate student turns art into therapy for teachers, receives 2019 national Emerging Professional Development Leadership Award
秋葵视频 College of Education graduate student Nick Wozniak, enrolled in the M.Ed. Counselor Education program, recently won the Emerging Professional Development Leadership Award at the 2019 National Association of Professional Development Schools Conference. The award recognized his work with the creation and implementation of an expressive arts workshop for Richmond Hill High School teachers.

Georgia Southern to test emergency communication system on March 12
秋葵视频 is scheduled to test all components of the EAGLE ALERT system on Tuesday, March 12, at approximately 1:50 p.m. The EAGLE ALERT system is an emergency communications system designed to play a key role in keeping Georgia Southern鈥檚 students, faculty, staff and visitors safe during emergency situations.
