Naronda Wright, Ed.D., associate dean of Graduate Student Services in Çï¿ûÊÓÆµâ€™s Jack N. Averitt College of Graduate Studies, was recently elected president of NAGAP, the Association for Graduate Enrollment Management. She is the first African American to hold the role of president in the association.

Thanks to her school work, impact on the community and the trials she’s overcome in her personal life, Brown was awarded a $9,000 Robert S. Haywood Scholarship. This scholarship is available to students attending Georgia Southern who have or had parents who served in the military.

For spring graduates Dale and Alex Paulk, friends and fun are top of the list of things they have enjoyed about their time in EAGLE Academy at Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ. Dale, 20, and Alex, 22, are brothers who crossed the commencement stage during the University’s spring commencement ceremonies to commemorate earning their certificates from EAGLE Academy, Georgia Southern’s post-secondary, two-year inclusive program for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

A primary school teacher inspired Alexandra Jensen with the power of personalized attention in learning. Now, as she begins her teaching career in August, she aims to continue this approach. In May, the Hinesville native graduated from Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ with a bachelor’s in special education, a minor in psychology, and an ESOL Endorsement.
