‘Yeah, I’m THAT guy,’ says Eagle improv comedy student

Logan Western’s journey into the world of theater began in Sandersville, a small town in middle Georgia, where he discovered his passion for the stage.

“Lethal Lecture” is presented by the student theater group, The Masquers. The show will run Oct. 27 and Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah in Jenkins Hall Theatre.

Georgia Southern sophomore prepares for trio of ensembles

Jones began her musical journey with the violin at just four years old, and later embraced singing and exploring a multitude of instruments.
The concert series will begin with the Contemporary Vocal Ensemble on Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. and continue with the Commercial Music Ensemble on Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The final performance will showcase the Percussion Ensemble on Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Georgia Southern receives $1.5M grant from U.S. Army medical research and development to enhance soldier performance and readiness

The Ƶ Soldier Performance and Readiness (SPAR) program received a $1.5 million, two-year grant from the Department of Defense’s U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command. The grant will expand Georgia’s Southern research and programming capacity in injury prevention techniques that ensure force readiness for the Army.

Ƶ will celebrate the “Wild Wild West in the Eagle’s Nest” Homecoming 2023 Oct. 15-21. The week-long observance plays host to thousands of Georgia Southern alumni, current students and community members. The celebration includes a variety of special events, reunions, social gatherings and a parade. The week is highlighted by the Eagles Homecoming game at Paulson Stadium and the announcement of the Homecoming king and queen.
