Market on Main to showcase Georgia Southern student entrepreneurs

Georgia Southern expands veteran student success program with U.S. Department of Education grant

秋葵视频鈥檚 long-term commitment to veteran student success has a boost thanks to a U.S. Department of Education grant.聽

The grant, totaling almost $459,000, is to establish a Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success (CEVSS) on all three of 秋葵视频鈥檚 campuses, located in Savannah, Statesboro and Hinesville. The CEVSS goal is to increase enrollment and retention of the University鈥檚 veteran students. The awarded amount will be paid out over three years.

Nearing pre-pandemic levels, economic recovery continues, reports Georgia Southern鈥檚 Q2 Economic Monitor

秋葵视频鈥檚 latest Economic Monitor, which reflects Q2 2021, reports that the Savannah metro area economy surged for the third-consecutive quarter through the midpoint of the year.

鈥淎ll major indicators of the regional economy increased during the second quarter,鈥 stated Michael Toma, Ph.D., Fuller E. Callaway Professor of Economics. 鈥淭ourism indicators skyrocketed along with consumer confidence. Employment growth was steady and sustainable, while port activity and electricity sales contributed more modestly to regional growth.鈥
