Georgia Southern highlights ethical culture through Ethics Awareness Week

The University System of Georgia (USG) is committed to the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct in pursuit of its mission to create a more educated Georgia. Accomplishing this mission demands integrity, good judgment and dedication to public service from all members of the USG community. Annually, the USG highlights this commitment through an Ethics Awareness Week which is scheduled this year for November 11–17. The purpose of this week is to remind employees of the commitment to an ethical culture and our shared ethical values and expectations.

Armstrong Campus Chorale and Vocal Chamber Ensemble perform at 27th annual Memorial Concert

The Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus University Chorale and Vocal Chamber will perform in honor of J. Harry Persse, Ph.D., at the J. Harry Persse Memorial Concert on Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The concert is held annually to celebrate the legacy of J. Harry Persse, Ph.D., who was a musician, composer and educator at Armstrong State College in Savannah from 1965 to 1988.

Georgia Southern to host free screening of ‘Paper Tigers,’ Q&A on school discipline and students’ emotional learning

On Tuesday, Nov. 13, Ƶ College of Education will host a free screening of “Paper Tigers,” an award-winning documentary that follows a year in the life of six students in an alternative high school. The screening, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 6 p.m. in University Hall, room 156, on the Armstrong Campus.

Georgia Southern makes personal finance curriculum available to Georgia students

Ƶ is sponsoring Ramsey Solutions’ Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum in five high schools in Georgia. Foundations in Personal Finance is the premier curriculum for teaching financial literacy to students.
