Jared Wood, Ph.D., has a passion for archeology and preservation, and he will play a large role in the preservation of historic resources in Georgia as a member of the Georgia National Register Review Board for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Wood was appointed to the board in July.

Tim Kintzinger, D.M.A., a music professor on the Ƶ Armstrong Campus, will go back to his roots when he performs “Standards” on the trumpet on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 in the Carol A. Carter Recital Hall on the Statesboro Campus and on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Armstrong Campus.

13th annual International Festival brings worldwide cultures to Statesboro

Brazil, France, India, Japan, the United Kingdom and many other countries will be represented in Statesboro on October 27 at the 13th annual International Festival. International students from the Ƶ Global Ambassadors Program will help local elementary, middle and high school students set up booths for the festival, which will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mill Creek Regional Park.

His upcoming exhibition “Argonauts,” on view from Nov. 5 through 30 in the Contemporary Gallery at the Center for Art and Theatre on the Ƶ Statesboro Campus, features prints from his Argonauts Quatro series.
