Community invited to Fan Fest on the Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus on Aug. 24

The community will have the chance to learn more about opportunities on Ƶ’s Armstrong Campus and meet this year’s football coaches and players in Savannah during the Fan Fest set for Friday, Aug. 24 on the Armstrong Campus. Activities for the community begin at 4 p.m., including a tailgate, campus tours and a meet-and-greet with the team. The event is free and open to the public.

Ƶ Police Department’s K9, “Bear”, will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. Bear’s vest is sponsored by Optima Energy, Inc. and will be embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Optima Energy”. Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.
